Helpful Mentoring Services

I hope you have enjoyed the book and/or podcasts. If these have prompted a desire to learn more or seek additional information/assistance from the author, then this page will facilitate the start of your communication with the author. While Mr. Grant maintains a busy schedule, he will make time to provide mentoring help to young people who may desire some personal advice and direction; as this is his passion.

The detailed process to facilitate this is shown at the bottom of the page.

Over the past year, I have been working intermittently with three young people who have a great outlook on life, have an impressive positive attitude and also possess a strong work ethic. They all knew that I cared for them and that any advice I had for them was for their own benefit. Sometimes it was simply giving advice on key issues and other times it was keeping them accountable for and learning from their poor decisions.

All services will be provided at a rate of $75.00 per hour, with a one-hour minimum charge. The agreed meeting duration will not be exceeded during this time together.

Here are two examples of where I may be of assistance:

Example #1: If you desire assistance on your resume, a conversation will be held regarding the following, and you can then provide a written confirmation of these:

⦁ you and your personality traits
⦁ what type of job you are seeking
⦁ what attributes you possess
⦁ your past experience
⦁ your accomplishments
⦁ your education
⦁ your goals
⦁ anything else you wish to accentuate

After this, you and Mr. Grant will together prepare a resume for your use.

My last mentee imbedded a short video of himself in his resume, which provided the reader with a much better and “friendlier” analysis of the candidate. They subsequently interviewed him and also gave him the job. I can also prepare a script for you to prepare this video and that can be part of the service provided.

Example #2: If you would like to have a mock interview conducted, I will review your resume and then will then send you a short questionnaire to complete and return prior to the arranged remote video meeting. During this one-hour video conference a short discussion will be held, followed by the actual interview process and this will give you a much better idea of what to expect during your job interview.

A review of the interview will then be done and I will provide my thoughts on what you did well and what areas of improvement are needed. I firmly believe that this interview will be more difficult than your actual job interviews so that this will give you practice on what to say, how best to present yourself and your qualifications and facilitate you being able to properly respond to the interviewer’s questions, while under pressure or being nervous.

For any other type advice, Mr. Grant is open to embellishing and discussing any topic in the book/podcasts or mentoring to meet your personal needs and desires.

Further to the information above, the communication process will be as follows:

⦁ Complete the contact information and submit
⦁ Mr. Grant will contact you either by email response or by calling you to discuss what service you may desire when meeting with him.
⦁ This conversation will result in an agreement to formalize a remote video conference meeting to address your needs or conclude that he cannot provide the assistance you desire (and no cost incurred).
⦁ If an agreement for service is reached, the expected duration will be agreed; then please complete the payment information and inform Mr. Grant that this has been completed. It is fully anticipated that the vast majority of sessions will be completed in one hour.
⦁ Both your and Mr. Grant’s responsibilities will have been clearly defined so that there will be no unmet expectations for either person.
⦁ If a future meeting day and time has not already been agreed, they he will establish this and then set-up the video conference call.

Please note that you will not incur any costs unless an agreement is reached. Also, your contact information will not be shared or used for any other purpose than this original communication.
